J. Vernon French, Q.C. has been a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador since 1971 and is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association. In 1988, Vernon French was appointed Queen’s Counsel. Mr. French is past President of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, past Chairman of the Grace General Hospital Corporation, and past Chairman of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation. John B. French
John B. French was called to the bar in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador in 1999, and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration. John is currently the Chair of The Salvation Army Citizen’s Advisory Board for St. John’s, and a past member of the Community Council of the Wiseman Centre and The Salvation Army’s Hurricane Igor Committee. John is a past member of the Board of Governors of St. Bonaventure’s College. John is a long standing volunteer with Bicycle Newfoundland and Labrador (BNL) and a past President of BNL. John is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Cycling Association (CCA), and a past member of the CCA’s Governance and Insurance Committees and the CCA’s Inter-Provincial Council. John has also been a volunteer instructor with the Sprockids introduction to cycling program. John French practices in the areas of Real Estate, Residential and Commercial Construction, Municipal Law, Corporate/Commercial, Commercial Leasing, Litigation, Business Contracts, Personal Injury, and Wills and Estates.

Christopher E. Gill
Christopher E. Gill grew up in Labrador City and now lives in Mount Pearl with his wife, Denise, and their two sons, Michael and Daniel. Chris graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-operative) degree in 1995. He completed a Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of New Brunswick in 1998. In 1999, Chris became a member of the bar in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and a member of the Rotary Club of St. John’s. Chris started officiating hockey games in Labrador City in 1985 and is currently an official with the Mount Pearl Referees Association. Chris volunteered as a coach with Mount Pearl Minor Hockey from 2006 to 2021. He has also coached minor soccer, minor baseball and junior curling. Chris practices in the areas of real estate, corporate and commercial matters, wills and estates, personal injury and civil litigation.

Geoffrey W. C. Boyd
Geoffrey W. C. Boyd maintains a diverse practice including corporate/commercial law, residential and commercial real estate, estate planning, construction law (including tendering, quieting of titles, and mechanics’ lien actions), personal injury, municipal/administrative law, and employment law. Geoff has appeared before the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador (Court of Appeal), the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador (General Division ), the Provincial Court of Newfoundland and Labrador (Small Claims Division), and the Newfoundland and Labrador Board of Inquiry for the Human Rights Commission. Geoff has volunteered with several international organizations, including charities in India, Mozambique, and the Caribbean. Geoff is currently a Member of the Board of Directors and Governance Committee for The Gathering Place Inc., a Member of the Special Oversight Committee for the renovation of Mercy Convent (Sisters of Mercy), and a Member of the Governance Committee for Young Adult Cancer Canada Inc.
